More than 600 ophthalmologists from 75 countries are proud to be called SEE Affiliates.  As visiting and host volunteer eye surgeons, SEE Affiliates have performed more than 360,000 sight-restoring surgeries since 1974.

Through the generous donation of their professional services, valued at more than $14 million in 2006, SEE Affiliates improve entire communities in developing countries. For example, in Namibia, an African country with a population of 2 million, SEE has completed 11 expeditions in the past three years.  Visiting seven different towns, SEE volunteer eye surgeons working closely with host ophthalmologist Dr. Helena Ndume, have restored the sight of more than 1,350 individuals.  Not only will these men and women and children regain a productive life, but their immediate caretaker, families and community benefit as well.  Namibia is just one of the 34 countries touched by SEE International this year.
