ESTATE GIFT OPTIONS
One of the simplest ways to make an estate gift to SEE International is through a bequest in your will or a provision in your living trust. You may indicate that SEE International is to be the recipient of a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or a particular piece of property. Please see sample bequest language.
To make an outright bequest to SEE International, you designate in your will a specific asset or amount of money you wish to bequeath. You may wish to use the following language when making your outright bequest:
“I give and bequeath (describe) to SEE International for its general purposes.”
To make a residual bequest to SEE International you designate in your will a percentage of the remaining value of your estate to come to SEE International after all outright bequests have been made. You may wish to use the following language when making your residual bequest:
“I give and bequeath (describe) to SEE International ___ percent of the residue of my estate for its general purposes.”
To make a contingent bequest to SEE International you designate in your will conditions under which a portion of your estate will come to SEE International. You may wish to use the following language when making your contingent bequest:
“If any or all of my heirs named herein have predeceased me, I give and bequeath the portion of my estate reserved for that person or persons to SEE International for its general purposes.”
In exchange for your gift to SEE International, you or 1-2 other annuitants receive a fixed sum each year for life. You can also defer the annuity so that you can choose the year your payouts begin.
A combined estate and income tax can deplete your retirement account by as much as two-thirds. By naming SEE International as the beneficiary of your retirement plan, the remainder of your plan is not taxed and your heirs have no “hidden” income tax liability. Another option is to have your retirement assets transferred to a charitable remainder trust, providing valuable income to an heir for life.
You may either contribute the face value of the policy to SEE International or name SEE International as the beneficiary of the policy. An outright gift of your insurance policy will allow you to receive a charitable income tax deduction, while naming SEE International your beneficiary helps you avoid federal gift and estate taxes.

RETAINED LIFE ESTATE
You deed your home to SEE International, but retain the right to live in it for the rest of your life, a term of years, or a combination of the two.
