Giving Sight This #GivingTuesday!

Thank you!

As of 11am PST on November 29th, we have raised $12,240!

This is 245% of our initial $5,000 #GivingTuesday goal and will help us restore the sight of more than 240 people in Namibia.

It’s not too late to participate! Additional funds raised will help us treat more people and purchase much needed surgical equipment to care for those in Namibia. Visual impairment is the second most common disability in the country, where almost 30,000 Namibians are blind or visually impaired. Since 1997, SEE has partnered with Dr. Helena Ndume to provide free sight restoring surgeries and eye screenings in Namibia.

By making a donation today, you will be able to:

$25 – Provide Medicine to Help Treat Eye Conditions and Prevent Blindness

$50 – Give Sight to One Person Who Is Blind

$100 – Help Train Doctors to Provide High Quality Eye Care

$250 – Restore the Eyesight of a Child

$500 – Sponsor a Portion of an Eye Clinic to Give Sight

About Giving Tuesday

#GivingTuesday is on November 28th! Instead of shopping on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, participate in the global movement of giving this holiday season.

#GivingTuesday was created by the Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact at the 92nd Street Y, a cultural and community center in New York City. Since its inception in 2012, #GivingTuesday has aimed to unite individuals, organizations and countries around the world through the power of social media.

This year will be the sixth annual #GivingTuesday. In 2016, the movement raised $177 million in donations from participants in 98 countries. Join the millions of people committed to making a difference this November!
