In May 2016, a SEE team, led by Dr. Kimberly Lovelace, held a sight-restoring program in the Ivory Coast.
Dr. Randall Goodman, an ophthalmologist from California’s central coast led a team of 16 medical and dental professionals to the Mission at Natuvu Creek, on the eastern coast of Vanua Levu, Fiji’s second largest island, October 3-7, 2016.
n October 2016, Yatzie and Alec visited the Children’s Surgical Center in Cambodia, one of very few pediatric-exclusive eye clinics that SEE coordinates; Yatzie opted to serve in the Cambodia program for this reason.
On July 4th, Ngombo Mervediy, a 7-year old girl, was one of hundreds who arrived at the SEE clinic in Kinshasa.
Angel was born with congenital cataracts – one of the most easily treated causes of blindness in infants.
When I found out earlier this year that I would be taking part in one of SEE’s international programs in El Progreso, Honduras, I was ecstatic.
